In this video, I’ll show you how to back up your Synology NAS using Hyper Backup. Hyper Backup features the ability to schedule backups, retain multi-version backups, file compression, client-side encryption, and probably the best de-duplication system I’ve seen in a backup program.
Not only that, the backups themselves are portable, allowing you to easily move entire backups to bigger drives simply by copying a single file. You can back up configuration data as well as restore data on the NAS itself or on a PC using Hyper Backup Explorer for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
